Abdul Fatawu Issahaku named in Championship Team of the Season

Ghana international Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has been named in the English Championship Team of the Season, put together by SofaScore.

The talented winger signed for Leicester City last summer on a loan move from the Portuguese club Sporting CP.

Despite being new to the league, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku didn't take long to settle in, as he established himself as a key player in the starting eleven.

At the end of the 2023/24 English Championship campaign, the Black Stars youngster finished the season with six goals and 13 assists after making 40 appearances for Leicester City.

His goal contributions and impressive performances in games helped the Foxes secure automatic promotion to the English Premier League after finishing first in the Championship.

It comes as no surprise that Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has been named in the SofaScore Championship Team of the Season.

He is one of two Leicester City players who made the team, with Leeds United's winger Crysencio Summerville being selected as the Player of the Season.
