Ghanaian nurse wins prestigious award at top US hospital

Ghanaian-born scholar Ebenezer Yeboah has been honoured with the Rookie of the Year award by Emory University Hospital, the top hospital in Georgia, USA.

Out of over 2,300 nurses nominated, Ebenezer ranked in the top 10 and went on to win the Rookie of the Year category.

This achievement makes him the first Ghanaian new graduate nurse to become a resident ambassador and resident representative honoured with such a prestigious award.

This accomplishment is especially remarkable for Ebenezer, given that he is a new graduate.

His dedication, hard work, and commitment to excellence have been evident in his role as a nurse as well as in his duties as a resident ambassador and representative, where he has played a crucial role in assisting with the new graduate program.

Many Chief Nursing Officers and managers have extended their heartfelt congratulations to Ebenezer, recognising his exceptional abilities and contributions to the team.

Ebenezer Yeboah, born in 1987 to Apostle Daniel Yeboah and Christiana Yeboah, received his basic education at Tweneboah Koduah International School, continued at St. Augustine's College, and pursued a BSc in Alternative Medicine at KNUST.

He headed Champion Divine Clinic as medical superintendent before relocating to South Africa, where he was honoured with the 2nd National Best Science Teacher Award.

He later won a contract in China, where he rose to become the director of foreign teachers and received an excellent teacher award.

Upon relocating to the USA, Ebenezer started a new career as a nurse and is already making a significant impact, raising the Ghanaian flag high.

He ardently hopes to help improve healthcare in Ghana in the near future.
