FIFA has appointed Ahmed Abdulrazg of Libya as the main referee for the upcoming 2026 World Cup Group I qualifier between Ghana and the Central African Republic.

Joining him on the pitch will be his Libyan colleagues Mohammed Basim (Assistant I), Al Jahawe Wahed (Assistant II), and Huraywidah Abdulwahid (Fourth Referee) in the assistant roles.

The position of Referee Assessor will be held by Hadqa Yahya from Morocco, with Holland-Cole Kasho Joseph of Sierra Leone serving as the Match Commissioner.

Abdulrazg previously officiated a match where Niger narrowly defeated Zambia during last year's World Cup qualifiers.

The encounter is scheduled to take place at Kumasi's Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Thursday, June 10, 2024, kicking off at 19:00 Hrs.

In the current standings of Group I, Ghana is in 4th place with 3 points, while the Central African Republic is just behind in 5th place, having accumulated 1 point from two matches.

The Black Stars began their campaign with a 1-0 win over Madagascar but subsequently suffered a loss to Comoros in their second match of the group stage last November.
