Six teenagers engage in mysterious Sakawa deal

Six tennagers were brought to Techiman Omanhene Palace by their own parents after weeks of engaging in Sakawa rituals. Classic news reporter who was at the scene erported that, hundreds of residents who thronged to the Palace were shocked and astonished for teenagers wanted to be rich overnight.

The six aged between thirteen and sixteen and all residents in Techiman were seen to be emotionless and terrorized by the spirits of the juju powers. Their names were withheld due to security reasons

According to one of the parents who is a Timber worker from Nkoranza, he found strange items such as pot, needles, and blood in his wards room and integrated him to tell where he got the items and why he has decided to keep it in his room but his ward refused to answered

He added that some few days after the incident he over heard of group of women talking to his wife in front of their house accusing their wards of practicing rituals. He said they emphasized that they suspect his ward might be one of their partner. So he interrupted and told them of the items he found in his son’s room.

He said the women confirmed they have found similar list of items in their wards rooms. After questioning their children with patience they children revealed that they have been introduced to Sakawa Business by one Mallam in Techiman. PLAY TAPE

The omanhene of The Techiman Traditional Area has advised the youth of Techiman and Ghana as a whole to rather strive hard in life in order to enable to rock shoulders with their colleagues in developed countries and to also enable them achieve certain goals in life instead of risking theirs lives in Sakawa business which has dominated the Ghanaian society currently.

Nana Akumfi Ameyaw expressed worry over how most people particularly the youth of our country are desirous of getting quick money as a result Sakawa Business has become the order of the day. As most youths have engaged themselves in this business which is tarnishing the hard won reputation of this country?

He urged the youth of Ghana to take Education as a top priority and advised them to desist from desiring to get quick money. Maintaing that ‘Short ways are often dangerous”.

By then addressing the issue the omanhene of Techiman said he will send for the said mallam and his landlord to address to have a dialogue with them after which he will provide solution to the incident. He said this is a difficult task but is optimistic he can surmount the challenge.
