Beige Village wins three international awards

The Beige Village Golf Resort, at New Abirem in the Eastern Region, has won awards for creativity and excellence service delivery in West Africa.

The facility, a subsidiary of the Beige Group, was honoured for Best Golf Resort, Best 3 Star Hotel/Resort and Best Conference Hotel in West Africa, at the recent West African Tourism and Hospitality awards, held in Lagos, Nigeria.

A statement copied the Ghana News Agency on Tuesday, said the awards, which were endorsed by the Institute of Hospitality, were aimed at honouring organizations and individuals in West Africa for their creativity and excellence in service delivery, and encouraging others in the industry to improve their operations.

Mr. Michael Djane, General Manager of the Resort, at a short ceremony held at the Beige Village, commended various departments for their contribution to the resort’s achievements.

He said that he was humbled by the fact that the resort was competing against countries such as Nigeria, Gambia and Ivory Coast.

“Our aim now is to maintain our standard and to keep the title; as the mark of a good product is consistency, and we have the right team to achieve that”, affirmed Mr. Djane.

The Golf Resort is a place where customers are exposed to life in the countryside, the rich tradition of the Akyems, the magnificent Kwahu Mountain Scarp and a host of forest reserves that characterise the vegetation.

The Beige Group is a Ghanaian-owned investment firm with interests in finance, hospitality, real estate, logistics and mining.
