Gov’t will make right investment in education-Veep

Vice President Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur has assured that government will not shirk its responsibility towards the holistic development of children, saying the right investments will continue to be made in that regard.

He said the sound development of the younger generation has always been a priority of government, adding that children are key to the nation's success.

The Vice President made these remarks when he interacted with students who emerged winners of the President's Independence Day Awards at the Flagstaff House.

A total of twenty students were selected for the award and they were drawn from all the ten regions of Ghana for excelling in last year’s BECE. This forms part of activities marking the 56th Independence Day celebrations. The Vice President reminded the awardees of the critical roles they have to play as role models for their colleagues who look up to them and urged them to remain focused as they fight to achieve their laurels.
