Stars return to training after victory over Egypt

Ghana players returned to training on Friday afternoon hours after beating Egypt in a friendly in the United Arab Emirates.

The Black Stars defeated the Pharaohs 3-0 on Thursday night at the Zayed Sports Complex in Abu Dhabi in preparation towards this month's Africa Cup of Nations.

Coach Kwesi Appiah took his players to training to continue their preparation for Africa's flagship tournament with various training regiments on Friday.

Twenty-two players took part in the training with midfielder Anthony Annan missing the session because of the injury he sustained during Thursday's game.

All the players who started Thursday's match went through recovery training while the rest had an grueling session under coach Appiah and his assistants Maxwell Konadu and Nassam Yakubu.

Training lasted for about two hours with the Black Stars expected to rest on Friday evening.

The Ghana squad will return to training on Saturday evening ahead of Sunday's friendly clash with Tunisia.

The Black Stars will stay in Abu Dhabi on until 16 January when they depart to South Africa where Africa's biggest football event will be played.
