So that "fear and spirit" era is long gone, esle Cape Verde will not dream of eliminating Cameroun from AFCON 2013 much less draw with South Africa as AFCON 2013 opener. Where is Egypt the 7 times winners??? Most Africa National teams have players plying their trade in European countries so they have learned one of two techniques which they bring to bear on the national teams.. Now you underrate any country as minnows to your own peril...The gamehas changed alot in Africaandlisten to the commentators on TV during the Ghana Vs. DR CONGO match clearly confirm this assertion. Credit should be given where it is due but the average Ghanaian I know lack common sense. Reason being, they fail to analyse before talking.
Have you asked why Akaminko failed in his position and what needs to be done to improve in his performance. Rather than hide behind the computer and destroy him. If you can do the job, why are you not on the field but rather behind the closet.
Do you know for sure, Congo rather use the coach to play mind games in order to deceive Ghanaians and score against us.
Do you also know, our three loses in Afcon came from our previous coaches and as a pay back. Bhukard Ziese and Cameroon beat us in Ghana, Renard and Zambia beat us in Guinea, luckily we tie with Leroy and yet you are calling a black coach incompetent.

The way we have been behaving/misbehaving has been affecting the performances of our players during tournaments and matches. We criticise unduly. Yes you can critise to encourage but not to do so to discourage as you have done here. What did the coach do wrong? Who told you DR Congo used only 3 days to prepare for the tournament? Even if the coach had resigned, it was not going to have any effect on the team because he had finished with his preparations. Oh and are you aware that the bulk of that team comes from one club? If we dont win the cup and do not even qualify from the group stage what will you do to the coach? Please let us encourage them to make us all happy and stop this pull him down attitude. I never supported the appointment of a local coach but now we have to support what we have.

It's heart breaking to assemble these calibre of players and their incomes compare to their opponents and one will scratch his head and burried his face in disappoinment.It seems like we have what it takes to become world #1,if not Africa, yet we alwalys fall shot. People should be far reaching and honest in their assessments. But quite frankly, Jerry Akaminko appeared to have been overawed by the occasion. Among other things, he was panicking right from the start. He was laying off wayward passes and giving the ball away especially in the first half. Not only that he also lacked pace and found himself being outwitted by the Congolese forwards so much so that he had to resort to rough tactics to contain them. I think he should have been replaced by the coach earlier. Because the red flag was showing all along. Having said that all the debutants, apart from perhaps Fatau Dauda failed to impress. Albert Adomah was lackluster; Wakaso was too slow on the ball and even Atsu whilst intermittently showing some brilliance lost his way sometimes. Surely the central defensive partnership should be shored up. Something also needs to be done with the holding midfield. They were also guilty of losing possession in dangerous areas giving the Congolese the opportunity to launch counter attacks. I think we will still be able to qualify to the knockout stages if these defensive frailties are resolved.

He should search the team sheet of DR CONGO for where majority of the players plies their trade.Even those who are playing in their local league are doing better.
