Ghana Man U fans prefer Pep Guardiola in 2016

Random polls conducted among Manchester United fans in Ghana, led to a conclusion that Pep Guardiola is likely to replace Sir Alex Ferguson in 2016. Majority of the poll participants believe that Coach Pep Guardiola opted to join Bayern Munich because of a pre-arrangement made between Pep Guardiola and Manchester United. Some Manchester United fans in Ghana are of the view that Sir Alex Ferguson, currently 71 years old, will retire when he turns 75 years old in 2016.
Just like Guardiola, Sir Alex Ferguson played at club level for several clubs before becoming a manager. Some of the clubs Sir Alex Ferguson, played for include Queens Park, ST. Johnstone, Dumfemline Athletic, Rangers, Falkirk, and Ayr United. During his playing days, he played over 300 games and scored close to 170 goals as a forward. Sir Alex managed about 4 football clubs before joining Manchester United in 1986.
Sir Alex was born on 31 December 1941, currently 71 years old and will turn 75 years old on 31 December 2016. Guardiola have signed a three and half year contract with Bayern Munich. His Contract begins at the end of the current German league season in the summer of 2013 which will make it a perfect time for Guardiola to replace Sir Alex Ferguson in the summer of 2016.
Guardiola is one of the most popular football managers in high demand around Europe and the world as a whole. Chelsea had the money and was ready to sign him this January but was not successful due his pre- arrangement with Manchester United. It is also believed that he decided to put an end to the hefty offers that rich clubs like Chelsea, Manchester City and PSG owners were offering by signing a pre- contract with Bayern in January 2013. Also, fans believe he did not move to Chelsea or Manchester City because of the rivalry between Manchester United and the pressure from the two rich English clubs. Also, Chelsea and Manchester City wanted him to sign a long term contract which would have affected his plan to replace Sir Alex Ferguson in 2016, the year Sir Alex will turn 75 years old and retire from football management.
Ghana Manchester United fans believe strongly that Guardiola basically joined Bayern Munich because his three and half year contract will enable him meet his timeline to replace Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United. Also, Bayern Munich is one of the top European football clubs that could give him the opportunity to add to his silver ware collection by winning trophies in both the German league and in European championships before moving to his dream job of managing Manchester United until he retires from football management.
Sir Alex Ferguson have won 12 English Premier League titles, 5 FA Cups, 10 FA Community Shield Cups, 2 UEFA Champions League Cups, 1 UEFA Super Cup, 1 Intercontinental Cup, 1 FIFA Club World Cup and several individual awards.
Pep Guardiola, currently 42 years old, also played over 350 games and scored about 17 goals as a defensive midfielder for several clubs and the Spanish national football teams before becoming a manager. Some of the clubs he played for include FC Barcelona, Brescia, Roma, AL- Ahli and Dorados.
Pep Guardiola retired from playing football and rejoined FC Barcelona as the team B Coach in 2007 before being promoted to manage the senior team in 2008. He won 14 trophies as a manager of Barcelona between 2008 -2012. Some of the trophies won as a manager include 3 La Liga titles, 2 Copa del Rey, 3 Super Copa de Espana, 2 UEFA Champions League Cups, 2 UEFA Super Cups, 2 FIFA Club World Cups and numerous individual awards as a player and a manager.
If his current pre-contract signed with Bayern Munich in January 2013 to begin his managerial duties at Bayern Munich in July 2013 is something to go by, then world football fans and supporters of Manchester united should be looking forward to having Pep Guardiola as the manager of Manchester United in the summer of 2016.
