Boateng sees red in Arsenal reserves victory

Ghanaian youngster Daniel Boateng got sent off in Arsenal’s 3-2 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers in an entertaining clash in the reserves league.

The 20-year-old who spent the first half of the season with English lower-tier side Oxford United was named in central defence by Arsenal U21 manager Steve Gatting.

Boateng partnered Sead Hajrovic in central defence and he provided a solid backing before he had his marching orders.

The Young Gunners needed a Sanchez Watt stoppage time strike to win the tie in Telford on Monday evening.

Also in the Arsenal line-up was striker Zak Ansah who was replaced after the opening 45 minutes.

The duo together with Emmanuel Frimpong forms a trident of Ghanaian presence in the North London side.
