Berekum Chelsea defender Wilson Akakpo wants to make a huge impact in the Ghana Glo Premier League. The former Hot Steel FC player signed for the 2011 champions before the start of the 2012/2013 season after an impressive run in the National Division One League which earn him the nickname “The Last Barrier” by fans for his impressive ability to stop opposing strikers from operating in the heart of his team’s defense. The 18 year old made his debut for Berekum Chelsea in their MTN FA cup win against Unity FC a Division One side in Ho and made his premier league debut against Ashgold. He continued to make 7(seven) appearances for his club and was adjudged man of the match on 5(five) occasions thus 2(two) in the MTN FA cup and 3(three) in the premier league.
