We’ll not take relegated RTU for granted – Hearts

Hearts of Oak have served notice they are not going to underestimate relegated Real Tamale United in their midweek game of the Ghana Premier League.

The Pride of the North will square off with the Phobians today at the Tamale Sports Stadium in a game aimed at securing their first ever win after 24 games this season.

Hearts, who are eyeing a Top-4 finish after an impressive second round, say they are aware of a possible upset and will give off their best to return with the spoils.

“RTU will be tough despite being relegated,” Hearts spokesperson Muhaed Saed told Goal Ghana. “We are not going to take them for granted because we need the three points at stake to finish at a respectable position.

“We will not take chances and our aim is to claim most of the points left in the remaining matches,” he said.

The Accra giants are going into Matchday 25 on a high note after drawing with arch-rivals Asante Kotoko in the Super Clash last Sunday. Hearts of Oak are 8th on the league log on 33 points.
