My first season at Kotoko was fruitful - Helegbe

Kumasi Asante Kotoko Midfielder Michael Kafui Helegbe has described his first season with the Porcupine Warriors as fruitful.

The former Liberty Professionals talisman joined the fabulous boys last year, but had to wait until this season to open his debut campaign.

In an interview with XYZ Sports he stated that the fight was a tough one.

“It is not easy, you could see that most of the players who won the league last season had left and I came in last year, but I couldn’t play, but I worked very hard to fit into the team so it was a good show I believe,” he said.

The former Black Meteors skipper also praised Head Coach Didi Dramani for his impact.

He stressed: “He motivated me very well and was always behind me and that helped a lot. Coach Didi is like a father to the whole squad and I think that together we shall have a good future”.

The 24-year-old will be instrumental for Kotoko when they take on Medeama SC in the final of the 2013 MTN FA Cup.
