Injured Accam doubtful for Elfsborg clash

Ghana international David Accam is a doubt for Helsingborg’s crunch league game against Elfsborg on Thursday after suffering an injury against BK Hacken.

According to his coach Roar Hansen, Accam’s warm-up before the game became dramatic when he got hurt in the groin half an hour before kickoff.

“He laid down. I thought he died there. I had almost decided to move the team as he did not seem to be able to play,” Hansen stated on the club’s website. “In the game also he suffered an injury after a kick in his Achilles tendon and I am unsure if he could start against Elfsborg.”

Accam scored a cracker which could easily go for the Swedish league goal of the season in the game against BK Hacken.
