AAC recognizes UConn's Amida Brimah as Rookie Of Week

Amida Brimah's breakout game against Central Florida on Saturday was recognized by the American Athletic Conference.

Brimah, the freshman from Ghana and Miami, had 20 points, eight rebounds and five blocks in 20 minutes in the Huskies' 84-61 victory and was named AAC rookie of the week. The points and rebounds were more than double previous career highs for Brimah.

Shabazz Napier, who had 14 points and 11 assists against UCF and 18 points and four assists in the victory over Harvard Wednesday, was on the league honor roll. Memphis' Shaq Goodwin was player of the week.
