Arabian Photostatic (A Poem)
Submitted on 2009-11-17 04:33:17

By Ebenezer K N Baiden- Amissah

If black only stood and served an evil purpose

At all times I’d hate it completely, reject it and resist it

With all my will- power and with all my strength

Maybe perhaps she/he once grew from a land called Africa

Maybe she/he had very sharp all five human senses intact

Together to quickly decipher good from evil

Like fetishism, totemism, dogmatism, jewishism, moslemism

Or churchism the desire to choose and to choose rightly doesn’t

Stem from culture of any real people

I’d repeat with every confidence

I’ve within my being

There’s a global percentage of liking for African

If she/he held high the need to speedily shun acts of schism,

Nepotism, tribalism

If she/he settled for the right attitude like in plucking a trees’ goodly

Apples,

If she/he selected the most likely option from multiple sets of solutions.

Could you imagine the hypocrisy involved

with depicted black as fearful as a strange

Figure –

A genie darkly big, long and tall

Exactly replicated from Arabian Nights?

My Vodafone Love Song
Submitted on 2009-10-13 21:52:15

By Ebenezer K N Baiden- Amissah

I paced closer to my beloved

to my beloved

while she stood pretty near the panes

of perhaps one of the windows or so

positioned

adjacent to our bathtub and placed my hands:

my warm hands upon her shoulders.

I asked an imploring question because I sought

for a simple response-

say this to me, say this to me for you're my darling,

What song ought I to sing as your birthday falls on

a few more days from today?

and it seems I deem it bekons on us tomorrow?

"you're all my love, you have all my love", she says.

Reasoning in quitness within my

uncontrollable

being I keep silent,

mute and watch her leave the place. Then she

carries an indescribable joy.

Stamina-driven, briskly had she walked with ease

and with a calm repose I sought once more:

I sought once again,

Say what , ah for you're my darling,my excellent, as

precious as the diamond- piece

I possessed even during my travel

days through Adis Ababa:

Say glady to me

both beloved and darling

your favourite time is one such as the next day

when with grace seasoned with pride

your day of arrival on this earth here approaches?

you'd welcome it; we'd celebrate it?

There I felt her arms, I felt her and she did let go of that

long thoughtful brooding, then re-awakening from her

wildest thoughts and purest imaginations like Sleeping

Beauty often read by children from British folklore

I heard a song in whispers rippling out from her two-

divided lips.

It was sweet , lovely , solemn, elegant, immaculate

like the melody

I first obtained from my Vodafone handset.

The Dignity Of The
Submitted on 2009-09-23 04:13:56 (modified 2009-09-23 04:14:45)

We hear recently of one "Mills" in an unpleasant horrible trouble. Well some famous "Mills" I know are Great Lamptey Mills , Reverend Bishop Dag Heward Mills , and our present H E Prez Atta Mills.

Lamptey Mills the media reports is in trouble of some sort.

I hope Devil wouldn't drag the nice- scented image of any of these powerful and influential "Mills" in the mire again.

Oh, No! Never, never again should that happen again.

Waiting For Your Baton- A Poem
Submitted on 2009-08-03 15:32:42 (modified 2009-09-23 04:06:12)

By Ebenezer K N Baiden-Amissah

There isn’t any queer issue

Or probably any mere thing

Of this mortal sphere here

We often call our home

And resting place

We often must make sure

We possess our baton in our

Hands which we obtain from

The angel who’s waiting ahead

Of us in our life’s journey and race.

To hold the very best life sells

In the land of the living

We needn’t run so fast

As though we’re bent to run

Far ahead of our Maker.

Every test we had ever met

Was important; we had to pass

With excellence and with success

Then we knew comforts and great rest

Were there to make us happy and to bestow

Smiles all over our cheeks.

Might we as well multiply the span of our years

Like Heavens days in this global village ?

We could keep this background story best

Written in several diaries having bright pages.

Series On Leadership

The Price For Power

(The Concept Of Buying and Selling As An Aspect Of Leadership Costs)

By Ebenezer K N Baiden-Amissah

Leadership often involves a cost. It would definitely come with this as part of it package be a good or bad one. Yes, “there’s no free lunch anywhere in the world” and that is not an unpopular saying. Therefore, come what may, leadership pertains a great deal of buying or selling.

In everyday life in a business transaction the real blueprint is that every one doing the buying would want to purchase that which has some unique features, probably some special traits. They would tell you why they would like to settle their choice on this particular Ford series brand vehicle they had purchased instead of the one they had rejected. They must do their best to ensure the items they offer for sale has got some good attributes and are in good shape and condition that sell a particular item or group of items.

However, when moved by their conscience alone, some humans would go ahead to quickly sell any good thing they are moved to give out. Even though they might not have done proper prior ascertainment of the subsequent occurrences and the diverse consequences that would befall them or others having finished and done away with the offer. These could be due to many hasty reasons, also. They would offer for sale anything

ranging from their self- owned businesses, to their lands and houses, to their cars, to their farms thus thereby discontinuing the total personal ownership over such personal belongings of theirs.

Yet it is strange to discover that some humans would decide to sell their bodies for pleasure, avarice and greed, entertainment, and for only a few Ghanaian Cedis with Ghana as an example of a country where this sort of buying and selling activity at times takes place. (It is a more strange thing to hear of others offering their bodies for nothing great like the tune of a fee but freely to their so-called beloved ones in order to win favour or compassion from them. They might argue very well it was for promotion on the job and for a pay rise in their departments. They might argue again and state that the act was to place a security stamp upon an imaginary amorous get-together, or probably it was for nothing serious at all but was all an offer meant for a simple joke.)

The main question there is, is in this wise, “Would an individual choose to sell himself or herself?” If I were a woman I wouldn’t think of the slightest thought of selling myself. No, not even the minutest part of my body like my breasts for a half or split- second. Not for entertainment and not for any trivial thing. My simple reason being thus that none among humans in this world and not even devils could do a good purchase of it. Not even male folks and male colleagues of mine and not even the wrongly concept minded African traditional religious spiritualist much discussed daily in the conversation of many people in one of our strange villages here.

I do not know why a modern day woman would commit such an act and describe that as a matter of choice. A choice they might have made in other to win an argument or to set a pace for others in society to follow. Well so they could that by so doing they were relaying a lesson of good value. That an individual could choose that sort of selling decision in order to live an economically enjoyable lifestyle and to lead other women as a successful woman in our generation and time. No, the chemistry of nature in this global village is that it comes along with a number of “self –defensive” mechanisms such that no matter the location of an individual he or she could decide to either purchase something that is of incomprehensible value and he or she could also sell something of untold price.

Take for instance vegetation in the field of agriculture. Vegetation in various places and locations of a town in a country grow, survive and thrive sometimes according to their diverse resistant varieties. There is some crop vegetation like maize which comes along with a number of varieties. Some of which are drought resistant and some can survive only in suitably loamy environments. It is therefore a matter of settling the cost of choosing the right variety at given time or a matter of settling the cost for the right environment that is very friendly towards the survival of such a crop if one really wants to achieve results in cultivating and growing samples of these crop items.

Similarly life in a way teaches faith, responsibility, honesty, humility and cultivating the right attitude as some of the main few characteristics we humans in this regard must identify ourselves with in order to display the fact that we are great buyers or great sellers

Leadership and power could be purchased at all cost and at the same time at a positive good price. We could win the argument at a good price. We could win excellence and success at a good deal of price. We could win the hearts of people of our nation at a great good price. We could avail ourselves for God who is described very clearly in the Bible story of creation as the Author of the universe to lead us in all our decisions and choices. He is an example of a Unique and an Uncommon Leader. We can learn how to settle the costs for power and leadership from Him.

We easily deduce some remarks and lessons following this simple examples and facts in the Bible account of creation where it is believed that some buying and selling decisions, choices and transaction deals were made.

Where Love Lies
Submitted on 2009-06-11 05:05:59 (modified 2009-08-03 15:23:18)

(Reminscences Of Pacts And Scenes Of Inseparable Love)By Ebenezer K N Baiden-Amissah

Was it not the dawn of a supernatural sensationof emotional fusion and pure treasured affectionYes,and love which sprang widely up within the innermostbowels, linings and senses Of our fresh and virgin hearts when at the outset we got deeply acquainted to eachother? My Sweet Darling Sister, would you rightly concludewith the statement that there was a feeling beyondThe common reality of facts eternally engraved in the pages of science fictionThat this earthly union was meant via Heaven's abundantgrace, and if not misconstrued, palatial glory to always remainLike the combined existence of comets in Nature's giganticCosmos? At our first gathering, apart from the serene air we inhaled, there was the warm atmospheric presence of Luther's dream that"one day every valley shall be exalted, and every hilland mountain shall be made low"If you did say from recognition that the weight and power of our love hung upon the observation that there is In every major circumstance ,a spatial delicate hollow in-between the breasts of most femalesand with yours being a crystal instance;I would have bodly said with confidence the happy prelude ofthe love story of Abe Lincoln and Miss Todd. Then repeated the citation of Mary Todd:"Mr Lincoln, you're the most perfect original I've ever met.I'm interested in you. That's the beginning of friendship,Isn't it?"I would have unfolded to you the timeless hidden mystery that surfacedin the lives of Sir Spencer Churchill and Lady ChurchillWho were notably regarded as one of the world's ever great friendsand great couples.Ours chimes, our precious moments of love still rely on the unquenchableflames of evidence that true preserverance coupled with resilienceWould utterly render into thin air every news of insurmountable counter-warfare,every threatening lair, and emerging lions' habitation. Our seasons and years of love would certainly go past espousal vows;It would thrive in the blissful assurance that when this planet we seenow is no moreWe two would serve as an included part of the prepared Saintswho would forever rejoice in everlasting loveeach wedded separately to Christ, the Head of our Church truimphant. Now would you ask me to unravel to you where the richness of our love strongly lies,Time would definitely share it best with you.
