Ghana for peace boxing night on December 29

SOAQ Empire and Classic Vision Sports Promotions will on Saturday December 29, organize a four bout boxing event at the Lebanon House, Accra to round up activities on the calendar of the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA).

The event, which is also aimed at promoting peace in the country after a successful parliamentary and presidential elections, will see Michael Ansah and Patrick Okine, in a ten round Super Featherweight contest, whilst Duke Micah will take on Galley Kudjoe in another 10 round Batamweight contest.

According to the pairings from the organizers, the night dubbed “ Ghana for peace night" Gabriel Odoi, will take on Cobla Johnson in a ten round Commonwealth Batamweight eliminator, whilst Issah Samir battles Steven Okine, in an eight round Super Welterweight contest.

A flat rate of 10.00ghc and 20.00ghc will be charged at the Popular Stand and VIP/Ring Side respectively.

Mohamed Amin Lamptey, Director of Communications of the GBA told the GNA Sports that, the organizers have extended invitation to high profile personalities to grace the occasion as the boxers are poised to give out their best on the night.

He said the Association has over the year enjoyed a fruitful working relationship with boxers and promoters and was confident the years ahead will be see much success.

He expressed the hope that, the night will produce worthy champions.
