NIB supports Cape Coast University

The National Investment Bank (NIB) has given GH¢ 50,000.00 to the University of Cape Coast (UCC), following an appeal from the University for support to enhance teaching and learning.

The bank said the gesture was in line with its core value of contributing positively to the society.

Mr Ernest Mawuli Agbesi, Managing Director of the Bank, said the Bank is committed to deepening the relations with the University.

He said NIB is keen to aid educational institutions because of the importance the Bank attaches to education.

Professor D.D. Kuupole, Vice-Chancellor, said the University in its quest to achieve its mission of supporting higher education in Ghana and beyond is constrained by inadequate logistics and finance to facilitate teaching and learning, especially in the area of science and technology

He expressed his delight at the prompt response to the request and pledged the university’s commitment to the continuation of the long standing relationship between the two institutions.
