Drobo Community Bank to be re-located

The Fiapre branch of the Drobo Community Bank Limited, would soon be re-located to the Sunyani Central Business District.

Plans are far advanced, as feasibility studies and search for rented premises for the establishment of permanent structures have begun earnestly, Mr Wilson Benneh, Chairman of the Board of Directors, announced at the Bank’s 15th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Saturday at Drobo in the Jaman South District of the Brong-Ahafo Region.

Mr Benneh explained the rationale was to broaden their scope of banking services in the midst of cutting edge economic reforms and competitive global banking business transactions.

He expressed satisfaction at the tremendous strides chalked by the Fiapre Agency, since it was set up in July, 2013, indicating that by December 31 that year, the Agency had mobilized GH¢ 266,477 as deposits with clientele base of 988.

Mr Albert Amankwaah Bediako, General Manager, who doubles as the Board Secretary of the bank, declared that the bank’s total assets increased to GH¢4,373,227 in 2013, as compared with GH¢ 3,357,891 in 2012, representing an increase of 30.24%.

The Manager said as part of the bank's social interventions policy, it approved and disbursed a total amount of GH¢ 948,800 in loans, and advances to 205 customers during the year under review.
