NPP Massachusetts elects new Executives

The Massachusetts chapter of NPP-USA held an election on Sunday, December 22, 2013 to elect new chapter executives. This was in conformity with regulations set forth by NEC that all NPP chapters under its jurisdiction should have elections and appoint new executives by December 25th, 2013.

As dictated by the electoral guidelines, all active members were given a period of time to file their nominations and to be endorsed by two active members of the chapter. The guidelines stated that to be eligible to seek an executive position, one must an active and a dues paying member for at least two years. One must be an active and a dues paying member for one year to vote.

On the said day, out of the thirty three (33) qualified voters, twenty five (25) people exercised their voting rights representing a huge voter turnout. All eligible candidates were given the chance to read their manifestos, and questioned on why they should elected, which they answered diligently. During the elections, the incumbent Chairman received twenty two (22) out of the twenty five (25) valid votes. His contender received two (2) out of the twenty five (25) valid votes. One vote was deemed invalid. The other candidates went unopposed and received over 90% of votes cast.

Organizer...................... Mr. Albert Sefah Acheampong

Youth Organizer........... Mr. Emmanuel Ampaabeng

Treasurer...................... Mr. Adjei Badu
