Offinsoman Union of North America Biennial Convention and Inauguration of the Toronto, Canada Chapter

The Offinsoman Canada and USA Congress – the umbrella organization for all Offinsoman associations of North America (Canada and USA) - is pleased to announce a two day convention to be held in Toronto, Canada from Saturday, August 30th to Sunday, August 31st, 2014.
Invited Guest/Keynote speakers for the convention include Hon. Dr. Owusu Achaw Duah, former Member of Parliament for Offinso South, Hon. Samuel Appiah-Kubi, District Chief Executive, Offinso North and Dr. Yaw Okraku, a renowned dental surgeon and philanthropist based in Toronto, Canada.
This august biennial convention is being hosted at the Toronto Plaza Hotel in conjunction with Offinsoman Association chapters in North America. It will be attended by Offinsoman kindred and well-wishers from Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia, New York, New Jersey, Chicago, Detroit, Ohio, Denver and Toronto. It will be recalled that the first convention was successfully held in Alexandria, Virginia in September 2012.
On Saturday, the members-only daytime session will be a policy discussion that will focus on various measurable topics to address the economic, social, health and educational issues affecting Offinsoman communities in Ghana. The evening will commence with a formal diner and followed by the inauguration of the Toronto Chapter. In addition, there will be a fundraising activity to fund a capital project that will benefit Offinsoman communities. The night will be climaxed with entertainment of guests and invitees.
On Sunday, the Toronto Chapter will host a post-convention outdoor picnic at the "G Ross Lord Park" in Downsview, Toronto - Canada
The theme of the convention is "Giving Back is Our Social Responsibility". Describing the objectives for the convention, Mr. Steve Wiafe Brown, the Presiding Coordinator of the Offinsoman Congress and the President of the Offinsoman Association of Toronto said, "At the end of the convention, participants and attendees will benefit from how we must create a positive impact to benefit society at large. We will be willing to give back to those who have granted us success. To achieve this, we will strive to contribute our time, talent, resources and energy towards improving the communities where we live, where we work and where we were born".
The Offinsoman Congress is appealing to all Offinsoman influential leaders; elected officials, Businessmen/women, Professionals, Chiefs and elders to support this convention by sending a delegate or inspiring message or offering a donation for the aforementioned project capital project.
