Sunyani lawyer For Anna Nyamekye?s Seat

Space FM,Sunyani - Sunyani based 32 year- old Legal practitioner, Alfred Tuah-Yeboah is set to dethrone the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for the Jaman South Constituency, Hon. Anna Nyamekye who is also the Deputy Minister for Agriculture, when nominations open in April this year for the Primaries.

The Aspirant initially declined to comment on his aspiration when contacted, since nominations have not officially opened. But when pushed further, he admitted he is in contention for the seat due to a clarion call from the constituents. He said his intention to contest the seat began after several consultations with opinion leaders and the cry of the constituents yearning for a dynamic youth to assist them accelerate the development of the area. He pointed out that though nominations are not yet opened, he would not turn deaf-ears to the various calls and pleas by the Constituents who wants him to come to their aid in terms of development. ?I can?t afford to lose such a divine opportunity from my people, it will be a mutiny against them if I fail to heed to their cries?, he emphasized. Lawyer Tuah-Yeboah admitted that the incumbency of Hon. Anna Nyamekye is a major factor since she still enjoys some goodwill from the constituents as their legislative representative for 8years. However, enough work has been done to clear that hurdle before the Primaries. He is convinced that his chances of winning the seat was brighter, since he is a role model for the youth. The youth have urged him to rescue them from their plight and would vote for him as well. The youthful Aspirant has already met Polling Station Executives and embarked on some underground campaigning to ensure that he wins the seat massively to the surprise of the incumbent MP. He continued that, though nominations are yet to be opened, he is not relenting on his efforts with the view of having enough time to campaign after the primaries. This is because the NDC have already elected their candidate and he has started campaigning vigorously. He therefore believes that as the next NPP Parliamentary Candidate in the area he has to work seriously to match him squarely ahead of the general elections. He confidently sounded that, ?all is well on the grounds, and the only thing left is for the date to be set for the Primaries, where I will be crowned by the kingmakers as the new NPP Parliamentary Candidate of Jaman South?. According to the aspirant, the constituents knew that he has always been with them, as a humble and loyal servant, whom they could put their trust in to deliver to their expectations.
