Sekyere Central registers almost 3000 voters

The Sekyere Central District in Ashanti Region recorded 2098 registered voters in the just ended limited voter registration exercise.

Briefing the Ghana News Agency at Nsuta on Friday, Mr Raymond Nartey, District Electoral Officer, said out of the number, 1109 were males and 989 females.

He said16 people had their registration challenged on grounds of being minors and also non –Ghanaian citizens.

He said the District Review Committee will meet next week on the challenge.
