Effah Dartey backs Akuffo Addo

A one-time Presidential Aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Capt Nkrabea Effah Dartey, says the open support of Members of Parliament and Party officials for a particular presidential aspirant is normal within any
EffaPolitical Party especially in the NPP. However, the position of the General Secretary, the Chairman and the national leaders should be a secret since they wield more influence, especially in the round-up to the primaries
Capt Effah Dartey was speaking on the FRONTLINE: the morning show of the Rainbow Radio International to the Host, George Yaw Otchere.
He explained that, the MPs and the other other officials have a single vote and their position cannot bring much influence on the voting pattern during the primaries.
But he was quick to add that, such an open support should be devoid of insults and acrimony which has the tendencies of dividing the party front during and after elections.
He therefore calls for decency in the campaign in the round up to the primaries.
He criticised some media personnel and the followers of the aspirants for some on the insults and insinuations currently being experienced.
He was convinced that, majority of the people crave for Nana Akuffo-Addo to be elected as the NPP’s Flagbearer and would therefore support the choice of the majority
