Police engage Exchequers in hockey league

Police Ladies Hockey team showed amazing form against Ark Ladies in last week’s 3-0 bashing but it is unclear whether their male colleagues can replicate the same form against Exchequers of the Bank of Ghana in tomorrow’s epic clash in the Dwadifo Adanfo Hockey League in Accra.

The Police teams have been exciting this season but they still remain ‘dark horses’ to lift the trophy as Trustees and Golden Sticks ride high.

Exchequers will have to fight a bit harder against a side which is energetic and hungry for success. The ‘men in black’, who are mostly new recruits, would want to prove to their superiors that they did not make a mistake by employing them.

But Exchequers could be party spoilers as they always rise to the occasion when the stakes are high.

Also on the bill is a clash between the two top teams, Trustees and Golden Sticks, while NDK are tipped to stretch their lead in the seniors’ division with a win against Veterans.

After last week’s 8-0 win against Veterans, SAPHOLDA face one of their toughest games against Multistix while Ark Boys face off with Real Ambassadors and Legonites versus Tema Manhean in the juniors’ division.

Tomorrow’s league matches would be preceded by the semi-final matches of the Beige Capital-sponsored knockout competition today.

Reformers play Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), Extinguishers clash with Police in the Ladies division while Reformers’ men face off with GRA men.
