Ghanaians must forge ahead in unity - Pastor

Reverend Pastor Charles Afful Kankam Boakyei, Executive Member of Agona Swedru Area Pentecost Church, has called on Ghanaians to let the resurrection of Christ Jesus be a period of reconciliation to forge ahead with a common destiny.

Rev. Pastor Boakyei made the call in an interview with Ghana News Agency at a thanksgiving Service held by Winneba District Pentecost churches to commemorate their Easter Convention, in Winneba.

The Convention on the theme: “This same Jesus will come again,” was attended by the Abasaraba, Apam, Potsin, Ansaful, Ankamu and Winneba, branches of the church.

Pastor Boakyei appealed to Ghanaians to bury their differences in the interest of the growth and development of the nation.

According to him, without Christ, there is no salvation and, therefore, it would be more appropriate for every human being to put his or her trust in Him, for with Him all things are possible.

“Let us surrender ourselves totally to Christ Jesus and he will not forsake us, He is compassionate and ever ready to receive us if we change for the better,” he said.

Pastor Frank Awaah Fordgoe, District Pastor of the church said, no one could dispute that things are not going on well for Ghanaians as expected, “but if we will accept Jesus Christ as our Personal Saviour and Lord, He will heal our wounds, rescue us from the calamities, tribulations and economic hardship we are encountering”.
