Mission Statement
The Ministry of Energy is to extend and ensure reliable supply of high quality energy services to all sectors of the economy in an environmentally friendly atmosphere to facilitate productivity and reduce poverty.
National Goal
To achieve equitable Economic Growth and Accelerate poverty reduction within a sustained democracy.

To consolidate and improve existing energy supply systems.
To increase access of modern energy services, especially to the poor communities.
To ensure productive and efficient use of energy particularly to the rural communities so as to stimulate economic growth and development.
