Amputee players receive support from AMA

Seven players of the national amputee football team, the Black Challenge on Thursday, received financial support from the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA).

Each player received a cheque for Ghc800 from the AMA.

The seven players who received the support were; Emmanuel Allotey, Samuel Kwakye Osei, Kofi Asare, Samuel Limonla, Iddi Fusseni and coach Ali Jarrah.

The amount represents 2% of the District Assembly Common Fund, which is disbursed to people with disability.

Julius Azumah, Deputy Director of the AMA, presented the cheques to the beneficiaries.

The National Amputee team is currently preparing for the 2014 World Cup in Mexico, later this month.
