Muntari and Essien in line to face Roma

Ghana duo Sulley Muntari and Michael Essien were named in AC Milan’s 23-man squad for their Serie-A clash against Roma on Saturday.

The two Black Stars players were part of the Milan contingent that boarded a chartered train to Rome on Friday afternoon.

Filippo Inzaghi’s side are hoping to secure a famous win over the second-placed team in Serie-A to aid their top three finish ambitions.

The Milan team earlier in the day hosted club owner Silvio Berlusconi who was making his weekly visit to their Milanello training facility.

He spent three hours with the team during which period he inspired the players to go all out for the win against Roma.

Berlusconi then left the training facility in his helicopter before the team made their way to the train station for their trip to the Italian capital.

Milan are currently 7th in Serie-A – three points adrift the final Champions League qualification slot which is currently occupied by Napoli.

Milan squad:
