It’ll be a dream come true to play in Afcon 2015 – Sumaila

In-form Asante Kotoko defender Rashid Sumaila has said it will be a dream come true to represent Ghana at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

The 22-year-old on-loan Mamelodi Sundowns center back said he hopes to coach the eye of new coach Avram Grant after missing out on the 2013 edition.

“Of course, I really want to play for Ghana in the Nations Cup,” Sumaila told Goal Ghana. “It’s every player’s dream to represent his nation and it will be a dream come true for me to make the squad for the tournament after missing the last edition.”

He added: “It’s not going to be easy because the team was doing well with the guys that were playing but I hope my performance and my hard work with Asante Kotoko doesn’t go unnoticed.”

Sumaila who was part of Ghana's World Cup squad in Brazil 2014 will be making his debut Afcon appearance if invited to Equatorial Guinea 2015.
