AYC Senegal 2015: Satellites skipper Owusu Bempah admits being in a tough group

Captain of the Ghana Under-20 team, Owusu Bempah admits the Black Satellites have been placed in a tough group, but is confident he and his teammates have the quality to progress past the group stage of the Senegal 2015 Africa Youth Championship.

The Satellites are drawn in Group B alongside South Africa, Mali and Zambia in the continental tournament, which kicks off on March 8th next year.

“They are all good teams, but we have a formidable team and a strong technical team. Our coach is more experienced and has seen it before, so it gives us confidence to work under him. I am very sure that my players and I will work as a team and make sure we qualify,” Bempah said.

Group B comprises host nation, Senegal, Nigeria, Congo and Ivory Coast.
