NPC saves Ghana Amputee Football Association from expulsion

The National Paralympic Committee (NPC), Ghana, has saved the Ghana Amputee Football Association (GAFA), from expulsion from the World Amputee Football Federation (WAFF), for non-payment of affiliation fees.

GAFA was expected to pay its 2015 affiliation fee by close of work on Monday, March 2, but the association failed to raise the required funds to save their membership.

Information gathered by the GNA Sports reveals that, the NPC, the mother body that coordinates activities of disable sports in Ghana, had to raise 650 dollars to meet the deadline.

But for the intervention of the NPC, GAFA will have forfeit its participation in the 2017 WAFF World Cup and other activities.

Ignatius Elletey, General Secretary of NPC, told the GNA Sports, GAFA is now cleared to participate in qualifiers for continental competition and the amputee world cup.
