Playing friendly matches in Europe is cheaper - Nyantakyi

President of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi, has explained the rationale behind the FA’s decision to host international friendlies in Europe rather than in Ghana.

According to Nyantakyi, the cost involved in hosting an International friendly in Europe is cheaper than hosting it in Ghana.

Pundits have questioned the FA’s decision to host international matches abroad, arguing that Ghanaians want to see their Stars in action in Ghana.

But in a sharp rebuttal, the GFA Capo says, the money involved in hosting international friendlies in Ghana will be expensive as compared to hosting matches in Europe.

“Most of these players are in Europe and hosting International friendlies in Europe is cheaper than hosting it in Ghana Kwesi Nyantakyi told Sportscrusader.com.

“However we are planning to see if we can get sponsors to come onboard so that we can organize friendlies in Ghana and if we get it why not we will be playing some of the matches in the country”.
