Rashid Sumaila named in Kuwaiti 11

Ghana defender Rashid Sumaila has been named in the Team of the Season in Kuwait despite his shot-term stint with Al Qadsia.

The 22-year-old who only played the second half of the season in a loan spell from Mamelodi Sundowns was deemed impressive enough to be named in the Best XI of the just ended season.

Sumaila helped Al Qadsia finish 4th in the Kuwaiti league but was also part of the side’s success in the Emir Cup.

He will now be reverting to Sundowns pending further talks over an offer made by Al Qadsia to sign him on a permanent basis.
