Ghana Premier League side, Hearts of Oak, have paid players their four months outstanding salaries, the club’s Public Relation Officer (PRO) Opare Addo has confirmed.

Sportscrusader.com last week reported that, the former African champions owed their players four months salaries and because of that the players nearly boycotted training prior their Premier League fixture against Elmina Sharks.

However, after their last Sunday’s 2-0 win over Elmina Sharks, the club have finally settled the four months salaries owed the players.

“Togbe Afede XIV (Board chairman of the club) has paid the salaries owed the players, the money will reflect in the players’ account on Tuesday,” Opare Addo told Asempa FM.

Hearts of Oak this Wednesday at the Accra Sports Stadium will host in-form Ashanti Gold on match day 20 of the ongoing campaign.
