He started his footballcarreer, age 19, in Germany and slowly made his way up in Belgium, where he was discovered very late (26y. old). 2004: signed a one year contract at KV Kortrijk. In January 2005 he extended his contract to 2007. Scored 9 goals in 26 games. Kortrijk was prepared to let Salou go provided that he got a better offer. 2005: He moved to SV Zulte-Waregem in the Summer of 2005 after he turned down Sint-Truiden and FC Utrecht. Signed a 4 year-contract. He's a very useful player for the team, especially because they play 4-5-1 , Salou being our targetman. Tall as he is, he can intercept all long balls easily and keep the best defenders in the Belgian League quite busy. - Moved to Brugge in 2006
