The Ejura Sekyedumase Constituency Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), who was recently assaulted by a communicator for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has been left unable to speak due to injuries he sustained to his mouth during the assault.

During a live broadcast on Ejura-based Naagyei FM last week, Osman, a communicator for the NDC in the Ejura Sekyedumase Constituency, unleashed heavy blows on Abdul Rahman Hudu, disrupting the show in the process.

It is unclear what provoked him to assault his fellow politician during the show, which gave them the opportunity to promote their respective parties to the electorate, with two months remaining before the elections.

According to party members who visited the victim, including the Mampong Constituency Youth Organizer, they were sent by the NPP flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and running mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, to check on his condition.

They noted that although the victim is doing well, he is unable to speak due to the injuries to his mouth from the heavy blows inflicted by the NDC communicator.

They urged the police to act swiftly in addressing the incident and to bring the perpetrator to justice to serve as a deterrent to others.
