A leading member of the Movement for Change, Hopeson Adorye, has expressed his commitment to assisting President John Dramani Mahama's government in addressing corruption and pursuing former corrupt appointees of former President Akufo-Addo.

Hopeson Adorye urged President Mahama to take swift and decisive action against corruption following his swearing-in ceremony at the Black Star Square.

The politician described the president as a leader who has matured politically. He noted that Mr. Mahama’s inaugural speech was unifying and full of hope, demonstrating his readiness to lead Ghanaians towards progress.

Speaking on the sidelines of the event, Adorye called on the new administration to ensure that all former appointees of Akufo-Addo who misappropriated funds or engaged in corrupt practices are brought to justice.

“The change we wanted has come. What is most important now is that all the former ministers and appointees who stole state resources or misappropriated funds must be arrested and prosecuted. Any minister who has caused financial loss to the state or engaged in corrupt activities must face the law,” he stated.

He added, “Mahama should arrest everyone involved in corruption. That will restore public confidence. I am prepared to support this agenda. I know some corrupt individuals, and I will start mentioning their names soon.”
