A communication team member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ernest Adade has condemned the political leadership in the country for prioritising their personal interests over the Ghanaian people whom they are to serve.

He said politicians are now interested in enriching themselves rather than focusing on improving the lives of the people they serve, especially when they get political appointments, which should help them enhance the standards of living of the people.

Speaking on Metro TV Ghana’s Good Morning Ghana on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, Adade said that unlike earlier when leaders cherish their reputation and integrity, the new generation of political leaders are only into securing big cars, mansions, among others at the expense of the ordinary Ghanaian taxes.

The discussion was centered on instilling integrity and patriotism among public service workers and the people as a whole.

"Our political leadership is in a mess because their aim and focus are just to get wealth. No one is thinking about the ordinary Ghanaian," he said.

Adade stated that patriotism, which has been the virtue of the nation, is no more, as the country is divided now very divided on political lines.

He added that the division has caused the country a lot as everyone has a party color and will defend any activity whether good or bad, as long as they share the same color.
