Friends, family, and community members gathered in Anomabo, Central Region, on Saturday, July 20, to lay to rest Theophilus Ansah, an 18-year-old third-year Science student of Afedu House.

He tragically passed away on July 6, 2024, at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital due to alleged negligence of school authorities.

The somber ceremony, held at the family house, was attended by friends, family, classmates, and sympathizers, as reported by adomonline.com.

The atmosphere was heavy with grief as classmates took turns reading tributes, sharing fond memories, and expressing their heartfelt condolences.

The family of Theophilus reiterated their calls for justice, attributing his death to negligence. They pledged to cooperate with investigations to ensure that justice is served.

Theophilus was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital on July 3, 2024, after being referred from Ewim Polyclinic. Despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to his condition three days later.

As the investigation continues, many are left to grapple with the circumstances surrounding Theophilus' passing.
