The Founder of the All People's Congress (APC), Dr. Hassan Ayariga, has said he will introduce a three-passport system should he become president of Ghana.
According to him, this will ensure that Ghanaian citizens become the sole owners of properties and enjoy all the benefits of a primary citizen of a country.
Explaining some of the policies he will embark on in his presidency, during an interview on GhanaWeb TV’s Election Desk, Dr. Hassan Ayariga said, “I am going to have three passports.
“The first passport is going to be for people who have both parents as Ghanaians, and this will let them run for president, MP, buy lands, and own properties in Ghana. They will be entitled to benefits every citizen can have.
"The second class are people who have one parent as Ghanaian and the other as a foreigner. They are entitled to buy property using the name of the Ghanaian, and they have a lot of limitations. They can't become president, MP, buy lands, or own properties in Ghana.
"The last people are those who naturalize. They are not entitled to buy any property or vie for a public position."
When asked why he intends to introduce these policies, the APC founder noted that, “Ghana is for Ghanaians. We are practically losing our sovereignty because we are underprivileged.”
Dr. Hassan Ayariga further added that if these policies are not implemented, the real citizens will be neglected, and the country will be taken over by expatriates.
