A 21-year-old concrete pillar designer, Kwabena Gyasi; and a 28-year-old driver, Kwame Attah, have been arrested by the Kasoa police for illegally possessing a Kel-Tech Sub 2000 machine gun.

The two were negotiating to sell the gun to an unknown buyer.

Speaking to Class News’ regional correspondent, Calvis Tetteh, ASP Agyemang Agyem, Kasoa Divisional Police Commander, said that the two claimed they found the gun buried somewhere but intelligence gathered proved they were the owners, and were planning to sell it.

Apart from the gun, ASP Agyem said 70 pieces of AK47 ammunition and one 9 MM ammunition, were found on the suspects.

He urged the public not to hesitate to report crime to the police.
