Ghanaian businessman Ibrahim Mahama, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Engineers and Planners Limited, has donated 20 police vehicles and three 1,200 KVA electricity generators to the Liberia Airport Authority.

The donation ceremony, held on Saturday, July 20, 2024, in Monrovia, was attended by Liberian President Joseph Boakai and Vice President Jeremiah Koung.

This significant contribution aims to improve the operational efficiency and security at Roberts International Airport, Liberia’s main international gateway.

The 20 police vehicles will strengthen the airport’s security force, while the high-capacity generators will ensure a reliable power supply, crucial for airport operations.

“This donation will greatly enhance our airport’s capabilities, ensuring the safety and comfort of travelers and boosting our overall infrastructure,” President Boakai noted.

Vice President Koung also praised the donation, emphasizing the strong bond between Ghana and Liberia. “Mr. Ibrahim Mahama’s generosity reflects the enduring friendship between our nations. We are immensely grateful for his support and dedication to Liberia’s progress,” Koung remarked.

Ibrahim Mahama, on his part, reaffirmed his commitment to supporting infrastructure and development projects that benefit local communities.

“I am honored to contribute to Liberia’s growth. Robust infrastructure is vital for any thriving economy, and I believe these vehicles and generators will play a key role in enhancing the airport’s operations,” Mahama stated.
