2012 Christmas Celebrations In Chicago land!

Ghanaian Community Organizations in the Chicago area will not be left out of the Xmas celebrations this year because many community organizations here have lined up programs to celebrate the annual event!

The Brong-Ahafo and Ewe Associations will not make the choice easy for community members as both organizations are preparing feverishly to fling lavish parties the same day, December 22 2012!

The Ewe Association of Metropolitan Chicago’s annual Christmas party is scheduled at the Crystallite ballroom 8400 S. Cicero Ave, Burbank, Illinois 60459, from 7 p.m to 1 am. The Ewe Association will use the occasion to launch CEANA 2013 Convention coming off on Labor Day weekend at the McCormick Center in Chicago. Part of their Xmas program includes traditional Borborbor and Agbadza dance performances. There will be Open Bar and Azonto dance competition. African Spectrum and other local media will cover the program.

The President of Brong-Ahafo Association, Reverend K. A. Yeboah will host members and friends of the Brong-Ahafo Association at his residence,2312 E. 103rd Street, Chicago IL 60649. The party will start promptly from 9 p.m until revelers are too tired to move their limbs! The caterer for the party, Beatrice Asante, as usual, will treat attendees to a variety of mouthwatering Ghanaian dishes which includes Fufuo with Aponkye Nkrakra, Banku and Okro Soup, Waakye, Jollof Rice and many others! You bet the drinks will “flow” and the best of all, it’s free for all! Meet you there!

On Saturday December 29 2012, the Okuapeman Association will as usual throw their annual Xmas Cocktail party at the new party Hall for the Bolingbrook community, Diamond Creek Hall, 260 S. Schmidt Road, Bolingbrook Illinois 60440! The Diamond Hall will be outdoored on December 28 2012, a day before the Okuapeman Xmas Party! Top D.J’s in the community, D.J Bonsu and D.J Chief will be busy doing their “own thing” to make sure the attendees dance to the latest and best selections one can ever ask for! Please do not miss out on this since that is the only party lined up for the night. Carpooling and designated driver will be ideal because food and booze will be “ flowing” free! The party starts from 9 p.m to 3 a.m
