Dr Lawrence Tetteh, a renowned Ghanaian Evangelist, has expressed faith that the 2016 Presidential and Parliamentary elections would be conducted peacefully.

“I have the greatest faith that the Presidential and Parliamentary elections will go peacefully,” he told the Ghana News Agency in an interview in Accra.

Dr Tetteh also the Founder and Leader of Worldwide Miracle Outreach said Kings and Priests are enthroned by God and politicians must seek only the national agenda and bear in mind that a win for any individual must be a win for all.

“Politicians have a role in uniting the nation and it is quite obvious that everyone wants to be at the helm of affairs, but in pursuing such an interest they should think of the nation first.

“Individual political agenda should not override national interest, hence the need for a massive united front in bringing the nation together.”

Dr Tetteh said politicians should begin to look within themselves to make humility the bedrock of what they do, stressing: “It is only when people are humble that they take advice.”

“The word of the Lord says that ‘in the multitude of counsel there is safety’.”

He called on religious leaders not to use their pulpits to make divisive statements while admonishing the political parties especially the ruling National Democratic Congress and the main opposition New Patriotic Party in their drive to win votes to strive to seek God’s wisdom.
