Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) Candidates across the country will finish writing their papers on June 9, 2017.
The final paper which the candidates are writing now is Social Studies.
Over 46,000 candidates including males and females sat for subjects such as English language, Mathematics, Religious and Moral Education (RME), Ghanaian language, Integrated Science, BDT etc.
So far, no exams malpractice has been recorded in any of the region, the Ghana Education Service (GES) is yet to come out to confirm or deny if malpractice was recorded or not.
Developments that came up during the exams:
One of the candidates in the North died whiles writing the exams.
Another male is reported to have gone blind after opening one of the papers to write.
Another female in the Eastern region, who was pregnant couldn’t finish writing the exams because she was in labour and had to be rushed to the hospital.
The invigilator is said to have refused to send the paper Mathematics on Thursday to the hospital for the candidate to write the exams.
The exams started on Monday June 5, 2017.
