Energetic sports presenter, Patrick Osei Agyemang, widely known as Countryman Songo made history at this year’s Radio and Television Personality (RTPs) Awards as he, for the third time in a row won the ‘Best TV sports show host of the year’ 2016-2017.
The ‘Fire for Fire‘ host was presented with the award during the ceremony at the Accra International Conference Centre after he beat TV personalities Dennis Murpuri of GH One TV,Yaw Ampofo Ankrah of Kwese TV, Kokui Selormey of Kwese TV and Yaw Sakyi Afari of Kwese TV in that category.
This award makes Songo the first TV sports show host to win the best TV sports show host award three times consecutively after four-time winner of the Radio & Television Personality (RTP) Awards, Kwame Sefa Kayi.
The awards programme is a platform created to acknowledge the hard work and achievements of excellent media personalities who have contributed extensively to developing the Ghanaian media terrain.
Kurlsongs, Ebony, DJ Switch and Patience Nyarko thrilled the audience with outstanding performances.
This year’s edition was the seventh RTPs being organised by Big Events Ghana.
