A flag bearer-aspirant of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Goosie Tanoh, has called on delegates of the party to vote for an unblemished candidate and a grassroots man, who can mobilise and win power for the party in the 2020 general elections.

Mr Tanoh also entreated the delegates to elect a presidential candidate who will be welcomed by Ghanaians, and give the party back to its grassroots members.

Addressing some delegates at the Centre for National Culture in Kumasi, as part of his seven-day campaign tour of the Ashanti Region, Mr Tanoh pleaded with them to give him the nod so he can win power for the party.

He said the January 26 primary was crucial because God willing, whoever wins will be the one that is sworn into office as president on 7 January 2021, thus, his appeal to them to vote for him.

Mr Tanoh urged the delegates to vote for a candidate who is unblemished and deserving of the position.

He said he is the right person with the capacity and ability to organise and mobilise votes for the party to win power.

The former aide to President Jerry John Rawlings urged the delegates to ignore candidates who are seeking to buy their vote with cash and other goodies, saying they should vote for the right person who can bring a new look to the party to attract more votes from Ghanaians, especially the floating voters.
