2024 Election: Adventists need special dispensation to vote on December 7- Kabila tells EC

James Kwabena Bomfeh insists that the Electoral Commission must revise their decision on the date for this year's presidential and parliamentary elections to include the Seventh Day Adventist church.

The staunch member of the SDA, speaking on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" show, suggested to the Electoral Commission to extend the time for the election on Saturday, December 7, which is their Sabbath Day, to get the Adventists to participate in the elections.

According to him, it will be better for the Commission to accommodate the Adventists or else "something can happen" on the day.

"It will be difficult for me to vote. That's why I have raised this discussion that the only avenue left to the Adventist citizen is to get a special dispensation to vote at an extended time after sunset on Saturday, December 7, say between 6 to 8 pm...and it is doable within the administrative powers of the Electoral Commission."
