A policewoman has been captured jubilating with some supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) after the party secured the number one position on the ballot paper ahead of the 2024 elections.

In a video going viral on social media, the police officer is seen dancing in a queue with people clad in NPP paraphernalia, jubilating over the number one position amidst singing, “He is number one, vote for him.”

The Electoral Commission conducted balloting for the presidential candidates ahead of the 2024 elections at its headquarters on September 20, 2024. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the NPP, picked number one on the ballot paper.

Bawumia’s main contender for the 2024 polls, John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), picked the number eight position.

Kofi Akpaloo - Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG) - #5

Mohammed Frimpong - National Democratic Party (NDP) - #6

Nana Akosua Frimpomaa - Convention People's Party (CPP) - #7

John Dramani Mahama - National Democratic Congress (NDC) - #8

Hassan Abdulai Ayariga - All People's Congress (APC) - #9

Kofi Korateng - Independent Candidate - #10

George Twum-Barima-Adu - Independent Candidate - #11

Nana Kwame Bediako - Independent Candidate - #12

Alan Kyerematen - Independent Candidate - #13
